Background
Toshi spent a decade as Senior Research Director at Institute for the Future, where he founded the Emerging Media Lab and co-led the Ten-Year Forecast. He was media technology advisor to futurist Ray Kurzweil and co-directed the feature documentary "The Singularity Is Near." His work has been featured at the United Nations, TED, SXSW, Ars Electronica, and the Dubai Future Foundation.
Advisory
Toshi also works with organizations in ongoing advisory roles, helping leadership teams build internal foresight practices, navigate AI strategy, and design learning environments and innovation spaces. Current and recent engagements include YouTube, Swissnex, Aims Community College, and Institute for the Future.
